IVY M.A.D. Program
Make. A. Difference.
"I want IVY to be more than a shirt or a hat or a longboard, I want IVY to be a feeling”
I do a lot of things to try and create and replicate that feeling I want IVY to be. It’s even more than just a feeling. I want IVY to be a community, a place to belong and tool to change the world. People ask me, “Why a longboard company? Why didn’t you just start a non profit?
"I want to change the world in a way people would’t expect. I want to prove that you can take whatever is in front of you - right now - be intentional with it, and change the world"
I’ve always been a little bit vague about what that means and how I want to make impact. To be honest, I’m still figuring that out. I’m still figuring out where my place is in this world, and where I will leave my mark. It’s even harder trying to figure out where my personal impact and the impact I make through IVY meet.
Growing up, Corey and I have always felt very blessed and fortunate to have the life and resources we did. We want to do what we can and use the resources we have at IVY to give back to those who haven't been as lucky. This year IVY is committing to reaching out to organizations, communities and businesses to make sure we do everything possible to make impact in their lives.
IVY M.A.D. - A program we are launching this year to make impact in local communities and around the world by giving kids skateboards and other basic needs while spending time with them. More than we want to provide skateboards, we want to spend time with kids, making them feel seen and heard, loved and valued.
Sponsorships - We will be partnering with larger companies and individuals to get boards sponsored for organizations working with kids and teens.
Make A Difference - At the size company we are, we are not alway able to give boards away, at least not to the extent that we would like. That being said, we are not going to allow our circumstance to define the impact we are able to make in the world. Partnering with others will build more community, create vision and purpose for others, and allow us to make impact, together.
There is really no greater thing than the joy of a child, and I've never seen a sad kid on a skateboard.
And that's where we come in. In the coming weeks and months we'll be announcing more details surrounding the IVY M.A.D Program and how you, as part of the IVY Community, can get involved.
