The Other Half of IVY

When the cat is gone, the mice will play.  That's what they say, right?

While Steve is in Thailand riding motorcycles through the jungle, shooting video for an amazing organization and who knows all what else, I'm actually sitting in a hotel room in Denver and decided that I'm stealing the blog post this week. Hope you don't mind.

I'm not sure we've been formally introduced, I'm Corey Bracken aka "The Other Half of IVY."  It's nice to meet you.

I was going to go into the whole story of how Steve and I met and how I got wrapped up in this whirlwind of an adventure called IVY, but I'm going to hold off on that story....for now.

Instead I'm going to say a few words on how excited I am for the IVY Fall Launch.  Steve and I have spent the last six months really focusing in on what IVY is, what it can be and what we want it to be.

With the Fall Launch we're looking to expand beyond boards and logo shirts and really branch out in a direction of apparel and merchandise that we love and would want to use every day.

We worked with local Minneapolis designers to come up with some pretty rad items to release just in time for the crisp autumn air and to get you through until next spring where we have all sorts of things planned.

We really hope you love this stuff as much as we do and be sure to check back on the site on 10/25 for a few more surprises we have up our sleeves.

Here's a few more shots from our product shoot to wet your appetite.

Hey so I have a question for you guys. :9 you and Steve making this company has really inspired me. To the point that I’ve been trying to make longboards myself, and I’m hoping to start my own company. I just love boarding and figured out how fun it is to make your own. But I kind of ran into an issue. How do you guys make the bends in the wood and how do you get them to be so even on every board? Because I am drawing mine by hand right now and they are pretty even. I measure it out and stuff. But they’re nowhere near as even as the ivy pintail I have. I just was wondering if you could give me some pointers! Thank you!

P.S. Awesome post by the way. Love seeing posts from both you and Steve. Always an awesome message.
