When it comes to anxiety, there isn’t much that can rattle my cage. As a matter of fact, I’d say I live a pretty anxiety-free life.  Except for one thing.  Handshakes. 

Now I’m not talking about your run-of-the-mill business handshake.  Or the handshake you would give someone after they won first prize in a spelling bee.  You know, the firm grip, solid eye contact and a couple of up/down motions. I’ve got those down just fine.

When I originally started to write this post, it was going to be about the amazing adventures I’ve had over the years on my annual snowboarding trip with a group of close friends.  The amazing powder at Beaver Creek’s Glades.  The time we road Park City during the Sundance Film Festival.  And of course when we found a karaoke machine tucked away in a closet in our AirBnb and we were up until 4am singing horrible pop songs to a stuffed bear (that story will be for another time). 

But every version I started to write all came back to one common theme, the importance of traveling with friends.

I see a distinct moment within history to use technology and media as an avenue to paint a clear and honest picture of what is happening around the world, and I hope to paint the picture in such a way that perspectives are shifted, action is taken, and hope is restored.

Photography is the avenue that can bring that perspective and the camera is the tool to get the job done.

In all honesty, not since my first smartphone have I interacted with a piece of technology that has changed my life in so many ways.  And no one else’s account of how they use their Apple Watch could have prepared me for how I use my Apple Watch and that’s been the beauty of discovering this device.  I use it the way I want to use it.

The Apple Watch is truly a device that I didn’t know I needed, until I did.
